Trestles surfers were finally bitch-slapped by Sacramento's budget blues today. Panic began yesterday with the arrival of a toll booth in the parking lot adjacent to Carl's Junior. Then, this morning, fears were confirmed and confusion turned to rage as the price of parking admission in the lot went from zero to $15 bucks overnight.

Brett Simpson Wins US Open

Brett Simpson Wins $100,00.00 at the US Open presented by Hurley. Now the Captain thinks Brett Rips. Hands down he surfs really well but when did doing 1 turn and 1 air reverse score a 9.10. Mick Fanning and Brett both had several waves with 4-5 plus turns and had a average score of 4.5. Like I said Brett rips and he surfed really well thru the whole contest... but I think he won that final before he paddled out.
